Xinjiang Cotton (Mainland Warehouse)

Xinjiang cotton is famous for its long cashmere, good quality and high yield. Xinjiang's soil and climate conditions are different from those in other places, and it can reach more than 18 hours of light at most.

When New China was founded, Xinjiang produced 5100 tons of cotton, accounting for only 1.1% of the country's total output (444,000 tons). Xinjiang's cotton production started with a weak foundation. It was the "Xinjiang Miracle" process of cotton production that was launched by the People's Liberation Army of China stationed in Xinjiang and put into production in an organizational system (Xinjiang Construction Corps). It then went through stages such as cultivating improved varieties, promoting throughout Xinjiang, and improving technology. The cotton planting area has rapidly increased, the total output and area yield have been continuously optimized, and economic benefits have increased year by year, benefiting many cotton farmers. Xinjiang's cotton output in 2020/2021 is 5.2 million tons, accounting for approximately 87% of domestic output and approximately 67% of domestic consumption.
